Privacy and Visibility at the Dunlevy Milbank Center Locker Rooms

Youth locker rooms must balance privacy and visibility for the safety and comfort of the users regardless of gender. Unlike the girl’s locker rooms, the original boy’s locker room at the Dunlevy Milbank Center had an open, communal shower plan offering little privacy for the boys. By installing shower partitions in the boy’s locker room, we created a more private bathing experience even though relocation of plumbing and partitions was not possible.
