Contextual Design for Intervale Green

Intervale Green was designed to reflect the architectural features of the Bronx, such as brick, decorative cornices, stone and ironwork, and multiple courtyards. To break down the larger masses along the street frontage, we created small setbacks articulated in a complementary colored brick. Architectural precast stone ties the buildings together at the base, while off-white fiberglass cornices recall the majestic apartment houses of the Grand Concourse.
