Project Renewal: Support and Connection Center to the Barbara Kleiman Shelter

With Project Renewal Inc’s support, key features from our Support and Connection Center (SCC) are being enhanced and incorporated into the Barbara Kleiman Shelter. Elements such as easy-to-maintain finishes, indirect wall-washer light fixtures, and soothing spaces that include greenery are being directly incorporated and expanded. While there is a living plant wall at the SCC, the larger Kleiman Shelter will have a lush outdoor terrace with landscaping. Open offices at the new Shelter will include additional acoustical mediation and more robust low partitions (rather than furniture) between desks. Providing secondary doors within the private offices of both buildings enhances staff and client security and visibility.
