Meet Ethan Alspaugh!

Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Ethan Alspaugh was raised by a family of designers—his father is an architect, and his mother holds a degree in interior design; his family vacations often included visiting whatever architectural landmarks each new place had to offer. Ethan later pursued his interests in architecture at the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio.

Drawn to ESKW/A’s commitment to affordable housing and education design, Ethan joined the firm in 2022 to gain more experience in these areas. Currently, he is working on Melrose Concourse, a series of three affordable housing projects in the Bronx, and the construction administration of Boone Avenue, an eight-story, affordable housing project also in the Bronx. Ethan believes that architecture has the power to improve lives through a creative, collaborative, and problem-solving process. Besides architecture, Ethan loves all forms of design and art, including drawing, illustration, and photography.
