Ghost Bike Install in Memory of Eric Salitsky

On Sunday, April 23rd we installed a “ghost bike” for our dear, late colleague, Eric Salitsky, who was tragically killed last year while riding his bike in Brooklyn. The installation, coordinated by Daniel Horn, was attended by a tight-knit group of ESKW/A staff, Eric’s friends, and ghost bike volunteers Steve Scofield and John Craver. We are deeply saddened to have lost Eric’s thoughtful presence in our office and lives, and we hope this bike memorial will serve as a quiet but urgent statement supporting cyclists’ rights to safe travel. Thank you, Bobbi Preti and Families for Safe Streets, for connecting us to the local ghost bike community.
