Cortelyou Road’s Church Community Facilities

Visible from the street, the daylit stairway at the Baptist Church of the Redeemer pictured above leads to the church community facilities in the cellar. As is traditional of religious sanctuary design, a community dining and reception room is directly below the church space. The lobby shown here connects the church offices and classrooms with additional community space below and the sanctuary beyond.

In the background, you can see salvaged stained glass windows from the original church installed in a place of honor.
