The historic Earl Monroe New Renaissance Basketball High School is the first of its kind in the entire nation built around the game but not restricted to playing the game. With over 440 students at capacity, we’re pleased to join the development team for the design of the school’s permanent home. Located in the South Bronx at the corner of East 153rd Street and Elton Avenue, the new 5-story facility will feature contemporary spaces, including outdoor areas and state-of-the art amenities such as a full gymnasium, broadcast studio, student lounge, library and more. Envisioned as a revitalizing anchor for the community, the new building will have an inviting, grand corner entrance and vibrant façade showcasing the activity and energy within the building. While the building is welcoming to the public, the more private classroom spaces are located on the upper floors.
