1465 Bryant Avenue
Bronx, New York
ESKW/A is pleased to be working on 1465 Bryant Avenue with Community Access. This project will be the first Passive House Certified residential building for the nonprofit housing provider.
The 70-unit, 9-story building will be designated as affordable, supportive, and Affordable Independent Residence for Seniors (AIRS). In a combined interest in sustainability and quality housing, the 50,000 SF building will be highly energy efficient with emphasis on sustainably sourced materials. Greenery will be featured in the common spaces, terrace, and rear yard. Early planning of the facade design takes cues from the neighborhood with expressive brick details.
The project will seek funding from the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
