Randy Wood, AIA / Partner

Randy Wood, AIA, completed his architectural training at the New York Institute of Technology’s School of Architecture. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Architecture and joined The Edelman Partnership in 1988. In 1998, he was named partner and in 2002 helped transition the firm to Edelman Sultan Knox Wood/Architects LLP. Randy serves as a board member for the St. Mark’s Historic Landmark Fund.

Although Randy has adopted New York as his home, he is originally from Boston, and (for better or worse) is a die-hard Red Sox fan. Inspired by the images of New York as rendered in his childhood comic books, Randy set his sights on living and working in Gotham. On weekends, Randy brews beer and reigns as the master of the grill; at our end of summer parties he treats the office to ribs smothered in his homemade barbecue sauce.

Maintaining decades-long relationships with clients comes easily to Randy. Completion of the Ocean Wonders: Shark! project is the most recent of Randy’s many years of work with the Wildlife Conservation Society. Archer Green with Omni NY; School Street with SVJCMC; and 540 W. 53rd St. with Clinton Housing are just a few of the legacy projects Randy has led.
